In September 2024, we decided to stretch our comfort zone outside of Europe to hike the Lycian Way in Turkey.

Hiking the eastern half of the trail, we found a country filled with history, culture, and ruggedly beautiful terrain along the “Turkish Rivera.”

We originally planned this experience as a more relaxing trip after our excursion in Slovenia along the Julian Way. Little did we know, we were in for one of more challenging experiences yet. But we also hiked through ancient Greek ruins, scrambled across the natural burning flames that gave rise to the Chimera myths, and had some of the best orange and pomegranate juice of our lives.
