The Dingle Way
July 2021
Following the pandemic, we hit the trail again in July 2021, just as countries were starting to reopen their borders to international travel. We were some of the first Americans back in the country, and as a result we got to see a rare side of Ireland without the throngs of tourists that cross the Atlantic each summer.
This trail ended up being a greater challenge that we anticipated — mother nature was not our friend, alternating between uncharacteristically blistering heat and torrential downpour. Its not every trail you run both the risk of heatstroke and hypothermia in the span of only a few days.
