The Rota Vicentina

In 2022, we headed to Portugal to hike the Fisherman’s Way, a section of the longer Rota Vicentina that follows the Atlantic coast of Portugal. Along the way we discovered the White Storks of Portugal, climbed to the top of an old fortress once manned by Moorish kingdoms, and had some of the best seafood of our lives.

The Fisherman’s Way was, pound for pound, one of the most beautiful hikes we’ve ever done - and also one of the hottest. We definitely recommend plenty of water and sunscreen for this hike!
