The West Highland Way

July 2019

In 2019, our pattern of hiking a new trail every year really began, as we embarked on our second Long Ways hike - this time along the West Highland Way in Scotland.

This time, our hiking duo became a trio: Eric (our photographer, who really upped our photo game) joined us for the first time, and hasn’t looked back since.

The West Highland Way took us from the shores of Loch Lomond just north of Glasgow all the way into the Scottish Highlands, ending at Fort William at the foot of Scotland’s tallest mountain, Ben Nevis. One of our longest trail by miles hiked (95 miles), and featuring one of our favorite Zero Days in the seaside town of Oban.
